Sam’s route into financial planning is rather different to most. After a career as a professional footballer, he retired at 26 and set his sights on the next adventure.
In 2016, just six years into his new career, Sam became a Chartered Financial Planner, which is widely accepted as the ‘gold standard’ of financial planning.
Before setting up Engage in 2017, he gained experience working for a large financial institution and a smaller independent practice.
Sam’s goal is to help you develop great financial behaviours. His vision is to be your trusted partner through your life, there to help you through the difficult times and appreciate the good. He will endeavour to repay the confidence you put in us through a commitment to impartiality, simplicity and fairness; to make your life easier and deliver value.
Sam is married to his childhood sweetheart. They have three young girls and a not-so-young King Charles spaniel.
When he’s not working, Sam loves listening to audiobooks and podcasts while walking the dog, which is not, as some suggest, a chance to take a break from being surrounded by females! He still plays football occasionally and attends Barry’s Bootcamp as often as he can.
